Server license
How to activate a HelpChat Server license. Going from license code to activation takes a few minutes.
1. Get a license code
After payment, you receive a license code in this format:

2. Download the activation request file
Sign in to the HelpChat Server admin console and click "System license" in the left menu:
http://SERVER_IP:6980On the license page, enter the license code and company name, then click "Download activation request file (key.dat)".

key.dat file contains your license code, company name and the machine fingerprint of this server. It is used to generate a license bound to this machine.3. Send the request file
Send the downloaded key.dat file to us by email or WeChat. We generate your license file within 1 hour of receiving it.
4. Import the license and activate
When you receive the license.dat file from us:
1. Sign in to the admin console and open the "System license" page.
2. Upload the license.dat file and click "Import and activate".
3. Restart HelpChat Server.
After activation, the edition name (for example, "Ultimate") appears in the upper-right corner of the admin console.
FAQ
License code is invalid?
Check that the whole license code was copied, with no extra spaces. If it still shows as invalid, contact us to verify it.
License import failed?
Contact us to generate a new license.dat file.
Changed your server or hardware?
Download a new key.dat file on the new server and send it to us. We generate a new license with your original license code, and you do not need to buy again.
