Mobile notifications
Make sure your phone receives HelpChat new message notifications while the screen is off or the app is in the background.
Prerequisite
The computer running the HelpChat server must be able to reach the internet. Otherwise no mobile client will receive new message push notifications, because every notification is relayed through internet push services such as Apple APNs, Huawei Push, Xiaomi Push or Google FCM.
Apple iPhone / iPad
Apple devices receive new message notifications without any extra setup.
Android
HelpChat is connected to the Huawei Push and Xiaomi Push services. If your phone is a Huawei or Xiaomi model, notifications should arrive normally.
On Android phones of other brands, if notifications do not arrive, install Google services framework:
Method 1: Install from an app store
Search for a Google installer
In an app store (such as Tencent MyApp or Wandoujia), search for "GO谷歌安装器" (GO Google Installer) or "Google services framework" and install it.
Xiaomi phones
Since the Xiaomi 9 / MIUI, Google services are built in. Open Settings → search for "Google" → open Google services → turn the switch on. You can also search for Gmail in the Xiaomi app store and install it; the system will then prompt you to install the Google framework.
Method 2: Install the APK directly
Download the Google Play Services APK from APKMirror and install it manually.

On some Android models, after installing the APK you may see a message that Google Play Services is not up to date. In that case, use Method 1.
