Product overview
HelpChat is an instant messaging platform for companies and organizations. It can be deployed on your own servers and provides text messages, file transfer, cloud drive, remote assistance and more, with clients for Windows, Linux, macOS, iOS and Android.
Quick start
| Step | Description |
|---|---|
| 1. Install the server | Deploy HelpChat Server on Windows Server or Linux |
| 2. Choose an operations mode | Choose enterprise mode (department structure) or customer service mode (contacts) |
| 3. Create departments and accounts | Build the organization structure in the server management interface or the web admin console |
| 4. Install the clients | Install the client on each platform, set the server address and log in |
Two operations modes
Enterprise mode
Built around the department structure. After logging in, all employees can see each other by default. Administrators can set visibility rules between departments and accounts on the server.
Customer service mode
Users register their own accounts and must add each other as contacts before they can see each other. Newly registered users can be assigned automatically to designated customer service agents, which suits external customer service.
