Custom HelpChat client installer

Build a Windows client installer with your company logo and a built-in server address for distribution to employees.

1. Download the custom packaging tool

After extracting it you will see the project directory, helpchat.bat and other files.

2. Prepare the client files

Install the latest client

Download the latest Windows client installer from the website and install it to the default location (for example D:\HelpChat).

Copy the files to the packaging directory

Copy all files in D:\HelpChat into this directory of the packaging tool:

3. Build the installer

Run the packaging script

Double-click helpchat.bat and wait for the command window to close by itself.

Get the installer

The generated installer (for example HelpChat_Setup_12.4.2.exe) is in the output subdirectory.

Tip

Before running the packaging script, you can edit the configuration files in the project directory to set your company logo and the preset server address.
