UOS / Kylin installation

Install the HelpChat client on UOS and Kylin desktop systems, including machines with domestic Chinese ARM and Loongson CPUs.

Supported domestic CPUs

Kunpeng	Kunpeng 920 (ARMv8.2) and other ARM-based Kunpeng processors
Phytium	FT-2000/4, FT-D2000 and newer CPUs with the ARMv8 instruction set
Loongson	3A5000 / 3B5000 / 3A6000 (LoongArch architecture)

.AppImage format [portable, runs directly]

Download the .AppImage file for your architecture (amd64 or arm64) from the website:

# Make the file executable
sudo chmod +x HelpChat-12.x.x-aarch64.AppImage

# Double-click it, or start it from a terminal
./HelpChat-12.x.x-aarch64.AppImage

If it does not start when you double-click it, the libfuse2 component is usually missing:

bash

sudo apt install libfuse2

.deb package

Double-click the .deb file to install it, or use the command line:

bash

sudo dpkg -i HelpChat_Linux_12.x.x.deb

Info

If the installer reports that the libappindicator3-1 dependency is missing, install that package first:

bash

sudo dpkg -i libappindicator3-1_0.4.92-7_arm64.deb

Then install the HelpChat .deb package again.

Fixing screenshots that do not work

UOS / Kylin

bash

sudo apt-get install imagemagick -y

Ubuntu

bash

sudo apt-get install imagemagick -y
sudo apt-get install gnome-screenshot -y

After installing, quit the HelpChat client and log in again to use the screenshot feature.
